Our Breeding
So far we have bred altogether 6 litters, the latest in 2007 and the previous one in 1997. Information on each litter (in Finnish) can be found here.
Canterville Ghosts - born 26. July 1993
All the dogs in our first litter were named after the different "personalities" of the central character in Oscar Wilde's story "The Canterville Ghost". Four of these dogs became Champions.
Remarkable Rockets - born 18. February 1994
Names again from Oscar Wilde, this time from the story "The Remarkable Rocket ". This litter produced three Champions, including our first International Champion.
Merry Robbers - born 24. October 1995
Three males whose names were taken from Torbjörn Egner's book "Kardemomme by" (Norwegian children's book). Only one of the trio actively visited shows and became a Finnish and Swedish Champion.
Fairy Tales - born 06. March 1996
Inspired by Oscar Wilde, once again, now using names of his fairytales. This litter only contained large or very large dogs - but extremely handsome dogs that have been very successful in dog shows: four of the five dogs became Champions, three of them International Champions, and they amassed altogether 6 different Winner titles. Therefore it is all the more sad to say that we never managed to mate the two bitches, and eventually both of them had to be spayed for health reasons. We guess that it would've been too good to be true...
Star Wars - born 06. May 1997
The restored edition of the original Star Wars saga appeared this spring, and we two fans just made a joke: we've just put together two mustard Dandies - if there's a pepper male in the litter, he'll be called Darth Vader. And that's exactly what happened: a single pepper dog in an otherwise mustard litter... Two dogs in this mixed lot became Champions.
Kamen Riders - born 25. July 2007
After a "short" break of ten years we at last had again a litter in the house. Their proud and extremely efficient mum is Toftir Foxy Lady, sire Rowanberry Rocket. Three pepper boys and a pepper bitch who stayed at home to the delight(?) of the old dogs. One of the boys unfortunately died at the age of roughly one year, due to complications after an operation to remove an intestinal blockage.
